About

Caroline is a professional triathlete from Benoni, South Africa, and has raced at the highest level for more than a decade. Her numerous achievements include the title of South African Elite champion (Olympic Distance) 2003 and (Long Course) 2002. For the past five years, the focus has turned towards the Ironman distance, where she has achieved podium positions (3rd Ironman Korea 2006, 3rd Ostseeman Germany). At  Ironman South  Africa, she has regularly been the top palced South African, including a 5th place overall at the 2009 edition.

Apart from her sporting exploits, Caroline graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand (1999) with an BA Honours degree in Political Science and International Relations. Caroline is an accomplished web designer, who runs her own freelance business producing websites for a vast array of businesses and organisations. She is also fluent in French and has assisted with translation work.

Outside of the sporting environment, Caroline is passionate about travel, and describes herself as having “very itchy feet”. She has visted many countries, including Europe, the US, Mexico, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and China. Writing about her experiences are an important part of what she enjoys.
